James A. Croson, Chairman of the Board

James A. Croson founded J.A. Croson in 1959 in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Known to all as Jim, he built the company to become one of the largest plumbing and HVAC contractors in the Midwest. A Florida division was established in 1979 and developed into the current company, which is expanding into Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Jim remains involved in estimating and day-to-day operations.

Jim is on the Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors of America; Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. and Florida Choice Bank.

David Croson, Chief Executive Officer

A licensed professional engineer, David Croson heads J.A. Croson’s Design Build Department, and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations. David’s 30-plus years of experience positions him as both a successful leader and a highly valuable member of the team. He holds licenses in general contracting, plumbing and mechanical, attesting to his comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the company’s business. David is a graduate of Purdue University, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering.

Paul Croson, President

Providing project estimates and day-to-day company operations, Paul Croson combines a thorough knowledge of the business with more than 20 years of plumbing experience and field operations. He is a licensed Certified Plumbing Contractor in the states of Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Jack Humphrey, Business Development

A member of the J.A. Croson team for more than 25 years, Jack Humphrey is ideally positioned to develop new business opportunities for the company. Jack began his career in the field, showing the initiative and dedication that led to a progressive climb to the positions of project foreman, material procurement and wholesale distribution.

Jack gives back generously to the Central Florida community. He is very active in his roles as a member and an officer of civic and church groups, including: Boy Scouts of America, Mt. Dora Rotary Club (President-elect), First United Methodist Church (past President Trustees), United Methodist Men (Past President and current Treasurer), American Institute of Constructors (past National Director) and Associated Builders and Contractors of Central Florida.
